Features of the ADDAC112SF
The ADDAC112SF is a case specifically designed to house the ADDAC112 VC Looper & Granular Processor. It supplies all necessary power through a convenient USB-C connector.
The frame features retractable feet that can be adjusted to a 30-degree angle, allowing comfortable use during performances or recording sessions.
The ADDAC112 itself is quite large at 45HP total, and installing it in a rack would take up significant space. On the other hand, cases sized at 45HP are rare, so if you wanted to set up a separate case for it, you'd likely need one at least 64HP. In contrast, this case is designed to perfectly fit the ADDAC112, providing an ideal fit.
By housing the ADDAC112 in this frame and keeping it at hand, you can use the ADDAC112 as a standalone device. It brings flexibility to your setup and performance, making it a recommended item for frequent ADDAC112 users.
Notes When Using the ADDAC112SF
Please note the following points when purchasing this product.
Screw Holes and ADDAC112 Mounting
The screw holes on this frame are only sized for mounting the ADDAC112. The ADDAC112 consists of two separate modules, and their left/right layout can be swapped.
The mounting holes are M2.5 size (2.5mm diameter), which is one size smaller than the M3 size (3mm diameter) commonly used for Eurorack format modules. Please note this difference. M2.5 screws can be purchased from Amazon and similar retailers.
Power Supply and USB Cable
This product includes a USB cable. The cable has a 90-degree angled USB-C connector on the end that connects to the back of the ADDAC112SF, making it convenient to use.
For power supply, a separate AC adapter or mobile battery is required. The power supply needs to provide 5V voltage at 2A or more current. I (Takazudo) confirmed successful operation with the following power strip and mobile battery:
Many small mobile phone AC adapters output 5V/1A, which does not provide sufficient current and will cause the power to cut out immediately. Please be aware of this.
Manufacturing Process
I (Takazudo) opened and used one of these myself, and it appears to be handmade by ADDAC System. The char level on the wooden side panels and paint consistency may vary slightly from unit to unit. Please bear this in mind.
