High-Resolution 32-Knob Control

The standout feature of the N32B Slim is its 4095-step high resolution. With approximately 32 times the precision compared to the 127 steps of standard MIDI controllers, it enables smooth and accurate control for filter sweeps and fine parameter adjustments.

Each knob can be assigned up to 4 macros, allowing simultaneous control of multiple parameters from a single knob. This effectively enables 128 parameter controls from 32 knobs.

Key Features

MIDI Learn

Enter MIDI Learn mode with a single button press to automatically receive signals from the controller and set up mappings. This eliminates the hassle of manually looking up CC numbers and enables quick setup.

Pickup Mode

Have you ever experienced a sudden value jump the moment you turn a knob on a MIDI controller?

Pickup Mode is a feature that doesn't send values when you start turning a knob until it "catches up" to the current value. Even when switching presets or after changing parameters on the DAW side, it prevents sudden value jumps and ensures smooth operation.

Preset Management

10 presets can be saved on the device, allowing quick recall of settings for different instruments or songs. Presets can be imported and exported through the N32B Editor, making backup and sharing settings with other N32B units easy.

Supported MIDI Protocols

The N32B Slim supports a wide range of MIDI protocols.

  • Control Change (CC)

Takazudo and SHIK Brand MIDI Controllers

MIDI controller DIY'd by Takazudo

This SHIK brand MIDI controller came to be carried in our shop after SHIK reached out to us, but I, Takazudo, actually already knew this MIDI controller very well. The reason is that in 2025, while researching whether I could build a MIDI controller myself, I discovered that the design for an older version of this SHIK brand MIDI controller had been published openly, so I built one myself based on that design. I even ordered the PCB myself and researched and purchased each component individually...

The photo shows that MIDI controller, and while it has a very handmade feel to it, because of this background, when they reached out to us, my reaction was "Oh, I know this well!"

And regarding this N32B Slim, something I can share from my experience using the older version is that one major advantage is the number of knobs. There are many MIDI controllers out there, and plenty of high-performance software as well. When you want to assign lots of parameters, the common frustration is not having enough knobs. In my case, I was using this 32-knob MIDI controller connected to an iPad as a mixer controller. In that scenario, for each channel you'd want volume, pan, reverb, delay, EQ (low), EQ (mid), EQ (high)... and setting those up per track, the knobs fill up surprisingly quickly.

There are various ways to solve this, but the most physical solution is undoubtedly having a MIDI controller with that many knobs. So the sheer number of knobs is definitely one advantage.

Additionally, this N32B Slim has undergone a massive upgrade compared to the older version that Takazudo DIY'd. The biggest improvement is the 4095-step high resolution. I've experimented with combining modular synths and MIDI controllers, and in my past experience, while the CV generated by modules is infinitely fine, basic MIDI controller CC control is limited to 127 steps. With that spec, for example, CVs that represent rapid intense changes like envelopes simply can't keep up in resolution when trying to replicate the same thing with CC. If you graph it, you won't get smooth curves — it becomes stepped and jagged. On this point, you can be confident that the N32B Slim is a high-spec MIDI controller.

The hardware construction has also evolved from hand-soldered DIY to primarily SMD, now featuring a slim form factor with a metal enclosure. The reason they contacted our shop was that they were receiving orders from Japan but customers had to bear the shipping costs each time, so they were looking for a reseller.

Please check out this high-quality MIDI controller, the N32B Slim.
