zudo-3u-to-1u Features
This is a converter panel set that adapts an Intellijel-format 1U slot to accept regular 3U modules (up to 4HP wide). By fixing these panels to your 1U rails, the panels expose mounting holes for 3U modules — letting you install 3U modules in that 1U row.
Module sizes that fit:
- 1× 4HP module
- 1× 3HP module
- 2× 2HP modules
Useful when your case has 1U rows but you don’t own (or don’t want to buy) dedicated 1U modules — you can fill that empty 1U space with the 3U modules you already use.

The contents of this product are as follows:
- Panels x 3
- M3 screws x 12
- M3 plastic washers x 12
- M3 nuts x 12
Installation
Install your 3U modules into the long horizontal slots on the panel. The panel itself does not have tapped holes (threaded grooves to hold a screw), so use the included screws and nuts: pass each screw through the panel and secure it with a nut on the back side.
About the 1U Format
Several 1U format standards exist within Eurorack modular. This product supports the Intellijel-format 1U (39.65mm height).
- ✅ Intellijel 1U (39.65mm): Supported
- ❌ Pulplogic / Doepfer 1U (43.2mm): Not supported
Most users with 1U rows in Japan use the Intellijel format, but to avoid return issues after purchase, please double-check your format before buying.
About the Development of This Product
I actually started making this product more than a year before release — but I got the dimensions wrong and ended up producing a large batch that had to be set aside in disappointment. After finally fixing the dimensions, the development experience along the way evolved the design into something with more flexible module-mounting holes (though only I would notice that part).
This converter panel was made using the same know-how I use for my blank panels. I hope it helps you make good use of the 1U rows that often end up empty.
